The Founder's Feast

12345

The 22nd February is the anniversary of the birthday of our Founder - Lord Baden Powell of Gilwell and also his wife Lady Olave. Across the world both scouts and guides are called to remember and celebrate the founders life and work.

For many years in West Lancashire County we have not marked this day but 2008 is the year that all changes!

As a county we want to take some time to mark Founders Day and we felt that there was no better way to do that than giving all our adults in scouting an opportunity to celebrate with a ball.

We've called this ball "The Founder's Feast" in honour of Baden Powell and it will be held on Saturday 23rd February 2008 at The Woodland Suite, Ribby Hall Hotel, Wrea Green. Black tie preferred.

There will be a four-course dinner (incl. coffee) and a drinks reception on arrival. There will also be some formal entertainment through the meal remembering scouting past, thanking our volunteers and looking to the future. After dinner guest will be able to enjoy themselves dancing to the New Lights Band - a fantastic 17 piece swing band, followed by a DISCO till 1am.
